MACINTOSH, Katheryn Christine “Kathy” – Age 63 of Lower Argyle passed away at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on October 22, 2014. Born May 9, 1951 she was a daughter of Aeneid Donaldson and the late Wellington Donaldson. Kathy leaves to mourn her husband of 37 years, Ian; daughter, Sara (Shawn) Chetwynd, New Denver B.C.; son, Daniel, Sooke B.C.; and grandchildren, Thomas and Gavin Chetwynd; brother, Laurie (Yolande) Donaldson; Gilbert (Trudy) Donaldson; sister, Ellen (Reg) Donaldson; 3 nieces and 3 nephews. Kathy graduated from the Yarmouth School of Nursing in 1972 and joined the Canadian Armed Forces (Air Force). Kathy nursed until 1985 when she took up an important job of raising children. Later Kathy worked for many years with Innova Design, before retiring with Ian to her hometown of Lower Argyle. The family would like to express their thanks to Kathy’s dear friend Liz Anderson for her unfaltering friendship and support, and the nurses of 3 south at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. At Kathy’s request there will be no funeral or visitation. Cremation has taken place and a family service will take place at a later date.
