It is with heartfelt sadness that we the family announce the passing of Allan R. Clark on Oct. 31, 2014 at the Glace Bay Hospital with loving family at his side.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late John and Patience (Curnew) Clark.
Dad was employed by Canadian Automobile Association and later became an Independent Insurance Broker operating Clark Insurance. He was also a member of the Glace Bay Kinsmen, Cape Breton Trailer Club and an Elder in St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church. Dad was a lifelong fan of the Montreal Canadiens. Dad had a very big heart for animals especially his yellow Labrador Retrievers and his Siamese cats.
Surviving are his loving wife, Cecelia; daughter, Laurie; sons, Shane (Lori Ann), Allan (Nancy); five grandchildren, Angus and Donald Morine, Sydney, Landon Clark, Glace Bay, Blake and Garret Kelford, B.C.; brother. Bill Clark (Jean), Bridgewater
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, John, Donald and Gordon.
There be a visitation on Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 4 , 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church with Rev. Allan MacLellan officiating.
Family flowers only, donations can be made in memory of Allan to St. Paul’s Presbyterian building fund.
