In loving memory of Ivy Cron (nee Ball) who passed away on Friday, October 31st, 2014 at the age of 94. Beloved wife of James Cron predeceased 1991. Loving mother of Robert of Sudbury and Bruce (Yvonne) of Wakaw, Sask. Dear grandmother of Kristin, Lindsay Ellott (Richard) of Sudbury, Eric (Lindsay) of Markham, Rebecca (Chris) of Vancouver and great grandmother to her special boys Cooper and Lincoln Ellott, Logan Cowan and William Cron. Predeceased by her parents Ford and May Ball, brothers Elmer, Warren and Bedford and sister Margaret Sanders. Survived by sister-in-law Dorothy Ball of Unionville. Missed by her many nieces and nephews. Ivy was born and raised in Badger, Newfoundland. She taught school briefly in Brigus, Newfoundland before joining the Women's Army Corps. Ivy married Jim on Christmas Eve 1945 and lived in Montreal for a short time before moving to Sudbury in 1948. She worked for many local businesses before retiring to Hamilton. At Ivy's request, there will be no visitation or service. following the cremation, she will be interred in the family plot next to her husband in Harbour Grace, Newfoundland.
