CONNORS, (CARTER) Dorothy “Dot” Eleanor, 72, Wynn Park, Truro, formerly of Middle Stewiacke, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends Saturday, November 1, 2014. Born in Brookfield she was the daughter of the late Harry and Florence (Morrisey) Carter.
Dot will be deeply missed by her husband of 55 years, William, her children, Doug (Donna Dell) of Penticton BC, Dale (Ron) McConnell of Abbotsford BC, Lorelei (Barry) Taylor, Chaswood, and Teresa (Milton Redmond), Onslow Mountain; grandchildren Kristopher, Matthew, and Kyle McConnell, and Erin, Cory, Adam and Emma Taylor; great grandchildren Mikayla, Kameron and Kolton; siblings Muriel Smith, Jean Skinner and Harry Carter Jr. Predeceased by sisters Hilda and Mary and two brothers in infancy.
Her family meant everything to her. Mum’s sense of humour, determination and faith was the strength that got her through her health issues. Her outgoing personality and kind heart earned her many friends over the years and she will be truly missed by all.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses who looked after Mum during her numerous hospital stays at Colchester Regional and Halifax Infirmary. We would especially like to thank the staff at Wynn Park; you took such great care of her and truly made it a home for her.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative. Service will be held on Wednesday, November 5th at 2pm at Country Calvary Baptist Church, 1722 Highway 2, Milford. Reception to follow service. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the IWK.
