Eugene Carson

CARSON, EUGENE PERLEY - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Eugene Perley Carson at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born in Bloomfield Ridge, NB on June 14, 1940, he was the son of the late Hugh and Mary (Palmer) Carson. Eugene supported his family by doing several different jobs including logging, guiding and operating his own garage. The majority of his career was at V.A. Trucking as a mechanic. He was a member of the Boiestown Masonic Lodge and Royal Canadian Legion Normandy Branch #78 where he spent many wonderful years playing darts. Eugene will be fondly remembered for his dedication to his family, his love of all things outdoors, especially gardening, cutting his firewood and fishing. If the way to heaven is paved with bricks of gold, then he surely laid every one as you could find no other with a work ethic like his. “You’re in the arms of the Angel… may you find some comfort here.” Eugene is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patience “Penny” (Munn) Carson; children, Mary Ann Carson, Dion Carson, Carrie Robichaud (Harry Moxon); three dearly beloved grandchildren, Jenna Robichaud, Marlee and Miles Moxon; sister, Donna Ryan (Dave); and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 7 to 9 pm and on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 12 noon until the Memorial Service begins at 2 pm. Rev. Patti Armstrong will officiate. Interment will be in Cameron Hill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association. Personal condolences may be offered through www.miramichivalleyfh.com
