NEW GLASGOW – Amy Fleming, 75, passed away peacefully on November 12th, 2014 at the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit surrounded by her family.
Born in Musquodoboit, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Alferd and Mildred May (Rector) Farnell.
She is survived by her eight children: Kitty (Leonard ) Fisher, Garnet (Stacey) Fleming, Rosetta (David) Fisher, Kathleen (Lloyd) Chisholm, Leo (Gwen) Fleming, Rhonda (Carl) Cosh, Gary (Tammy) Fleming, Michael (Julie) Fleming; three sisters: Hazel (Don) Henley, Loretta (Brodie) Henley, Greta Dort; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years Avery Thompson Fleming, a brother George Farnell, a sister Grace Fleming and a granddaughter Jacklyn Fleming.
The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, November 18th, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, 256 King St., New Glasgow. A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in the Hattie Cemetery, Avondale, with Rex Watson officiating.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital.
