BASTARACHE, ALDONA - Aldona Bastarache of Manoir Notre Dame, Moncton (formerly of La Hêrtrière, Memramcook passed away at Moncton hospital on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the age of 83. Born on November 29, 1930 in St-Louis de Kent, she was the daughter of the late François Babineau and the late Laurence Maillet. She worked at Y.W.C.A Moncton until her retirement. She was a member of Memramcook Ladies Auxilliry (Legion #89) for 40 years and the Golden Age Club of Memramcook. She loved bowling, knitting for organization, gardening and travelling. She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Maurice (Nancy) Bastarache of Moncton and Noël Bastarache of Memramcook; five grandchildren: Nathalie, Daniel, Raymond, Jessica and Adréa; four great grandchildren; five sisters, Soeur Gertrude Babineau c.n.d. of Cameroun Missionary, Marie-Anna (late Aquila) Richard of Cocagne, Thelma (Camille) Richard of Moncton, Régina (Omer) Robichaud of Shédiac and Francine (Régis) Richard of St-Louis de Kent; five brothers, Euclide (late Lorraine) Babineau of Moncton, Marcel (Jeannine) Babineau of Orangeville, On, Flavien (Betty) Babineau of Rexton, Charles-Eugène (Bonnie) Babineau of Alberta and Gaëtan (Yvette) Babineau of Sainte-Marie; her sisters-in-law: Roseanna Babineau, Marguerite Bastarache of Ontario Anna and Irène Bastarache of Sainte-Marie and Marie-Jeanne Melanson of Dieppe and by several aunts, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Aurèle, one daughter Pauline Bastarache and by her brothers Ludovic and Albert.
Visitation will be held at the Dupuis Funeral Home in Memramcook on Wednesday, November 19 from 12:30 to 3:30 pm. Funeral mass will be held at the Saint Thomas de Memramcook church in St-Joseph on Wednesday, November 19 at 4:00 pm. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery. www.dupuisfuneralhome.ca
