It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of the late Bernadette Marie (MacLean) Piercy, daughter of George Alphonse and Margaret Mary (Cooke) MacLean, wish to announce the sudden passing of our loving, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother at home on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014.
Bernadette 'Ma' as she was known by most who knew her, was a very special kind spirited woman who touched the lives of many with her caring ways.
Surviving are the love of her life, her husband, David; her daughters, Vickie (John), Crystal (Aaron), Leeandrea (Jason), and her sons, Charles (Katherine) and David Jr. (Kate). Also surviving are her pride and joy, her 13 grandchildren, Megan, Noelle, Alannah, Matthew, Chucky, James, Karlies, Lauren, Ethan, Kiara, Alex, Noah, and Chasiety, and her great-granddaughter, Sophia. As well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Bernadette was also predeceased by her mother-in-law and best friend, Patricia 'Pat' Piercy.
As per Bernadette's wishes there will be no visitation. Cremation has already taken place. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, Nov. 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.
