SIMMONS, ETHEL - The death of Ethel Evelyn Simmons of Kars, NB, age 88, wife of the late Frederick Simmons, occurred on Monday, November 24, 2014, at her residence. She was born on June 16, 1926 in Kars, NB, a daughter of the late Norman and Georgie (Urquhart) VanWart. Ethel is survived by her daughter Debbie Simmons-Obermeier (Daniel Obermeier) of Kars, NB; son Frank Simmons (Jane Creaser) of Edmonton, AB; grandsons Nicholas Simmons (Shantel), Jemery Simmons (Megan); great-grandson Tanner Simmons; sister Kay Marr; brothers Walter VanWart, Roy VanWart (Carol); several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Dawton VanWart.
Sherwood's Funeral Home (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB are entrusted with arrangements. Funeral Service, conducted by The Rev. Rob Marsh will be held from Trinity Anglican Church, Springfield at 4:00 pm on Sunday, December 14, 2014. Interment will take place in Tennant’s Cove Cemetery.
