Laurette Gaudet

GAUDET, LAURETTE - Laurette Gaudet of Saint-Joseph, Memramcook, passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Center on Monday December 1, 2014, at the age of 90. She loved life, always looking to spread joy all around. Her family and friends meant everything to her. Born on May 30, 1924, in St-Jacques, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Joseph O. St-Onge and Sévérine Bossé. She taught Family Studies at the Couvent Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur in Saint-Joseph and l'École régionale de la Vallée de Memramcook. She was a member of Les dames d'Acadie and Le club d'âge d'or of Memramcook. She will be sadly missed by her four daughters, Claudette (Martin Rice) Gaudet of Orléans, ON, Jocelyne (Larry) Lindquist of Seattle, WA, Roberte Gaudet of Montréal and Claire (Ronald) Gaudet-LeBlanc of Dieppe; one daughter-in-law, Shirley Gaudet of Belliveau Village; four grandchildren: Anita, Chantale, Kristen and Julien; four great grandchildren: Sammy, Nancy, Benoît and Liam; three sisters-in-law, Germaine St-Onge of Edmunston, Marguerite Gaudet of Saint-Joseph and Sr. Rose-Marie Gaudet, n.d.s.c., of Moncton and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred, her son, Léo (June 27, 2014); four sisters, Régina, Marguerite, Jeanne and Lina; and by six brothers, Same, Darcy, Paul, Pius, Édouard and Léo.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home in Memramcook on Wednesday December 3, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. Funeral mass will be held at l'Église Saint-Thomas-de-Memramcook in Saint-Joseph on Thursday December 4, at 11 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery. www.dupuisfuneralhome.ca
