Earl Gillis, the son of the late Richard and Jessie (Hawkins) Gillis passed away on Nov. 28, 2014 in Ontario.
He is survived by his children, Cheryl and Mike Taylor (Alysia, Steven, Mark), Lorraine and Maurice Dorval (Chantal, Michelle), Earl and Sherri Gillis (Jeremy), David and Sara Gillis (Toni, Bradley and two great-grandchildren), Lloyd Gillis and Angie Fryklund, Bernice Gillis (mother of his children); siblings Lorraine, Stoney Creek, Ont., Jack, Balls Creek, Warren, Millville, Lloyd, North Sydney, David, Stoney Creek, Ont., Sheldon, Brighton, Ont., and Richard (predeceased).
Earl was predeceased by his loving partner, Laurie Polson, survived by the Polson family and his beloved dog, Bo.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service and interment will be held at a later date.
Donations in his memory can be made to St. Giles Church, North Sydney.
