HUBBARD, Barbara Louise – 85, Villa St-Joseph-du-Lac, Dayton, formerly of Tusket, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014 in the Villa. Born January 31, 1929 in Argyle, she was a daughter of the late Felix and Louise (Thibault) Muise. Barbara was a homemaker, having also worked at Wood’s Mink Farm. She enjoyed quilting and knitting. She is survived by her children, Doris (Tony) Gaudet, Arcadia; Ruth (Marcel) Gaudet, Yarmouth; Nancy (Neal) O’Farrell, Edmonton, AB; Raymond Hubbard (Donna Muise) and Larry Hubbard, both of Amirault’s Hill, as well as 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Jennie (Joey) Crosby, Arcadia and Elsie Carr, Picton, ON, as well as a brother, Jerry (Prudy) Muise, Greenville. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Raymond “Peage” Hubbard; a son, Roy Hubbard; daughters, Alice and Eileen Hubbard; brothers, Leon, Franklyn, Albert and Wilfred Muise; sisters, Evelyn Comeau, Phyllis d’Entremont and Isabelle Blauvelt. Visitation took place from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, with prayers at 8:00, both at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral mass was held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 8 at Saint Anne’s Catholic Church, Ste-Anne-du-Ruisseau, Father Albeni d’Entremont officiated. Interment took place in the parish cemetery.
