SCHOFIELD, Ralph Henry- age 87 of Yarmouth, passed away at the Villa St. Joseph du Lac on December 8, 2014. Born August 15, 1927 in Upper Dyke, Kings Co., N.S. he was a son to the late Reginald Sr. and Daisy (Burgess) Schofield. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Louisa (Smith) Schofield; son, Harold (Marilyn); daughter, Meredith (Roger) Nickerson; grandchildren, Megan (Eric) Rubin; Ryan (Colleen) Schofield; Tristan and Raylene Nickerson; great grandchildren, Liam and Dylan Rubin; and Fiona and Naomi Schofield. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Maxi, Clide, Jim, Ray, and Reg Jr.; and a sister, Aileen Turner; as well as several nieces and nephews. Ralph was a retired Locomotive Engineer with the D.A.R, serving for over 40 years. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There was no visitation by family request. A memorial service was held Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Keith Moore officiated.
