71, Digby passed away, January 9, 2009, in Digby General Hospital. Born in Digby she was a daughter of the late John and Edith (Welton) Gidney. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #20, Digby. She took an active part in the Digby Seniors Games. Surviving are her children: Cindy Cormier, Montague, P.E.I.; Cathie MacMillan, Eldon, P.E.I.; Candace Cormier, Montague, P.E.I.; John Cormier, Fredericton, N.B.; sister, Frances (Charlie) Morton, Centreville, N.S.; grandchildren Tawnya, Tiffany, Lucas MacMillan; Corey and Jacob Cormier. She was predeceased by her husband Gerard Cormier. Visitation, 6-9, with a Royal Canadian Legion service at 6 p.m. in Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch St., Digby, and from where funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Father Keith Billard will officiate.
