SPENCER, RALPH EDWARD - After a courageous battle with cancer, Ralph Edward Spencer, of Chipman passed away peacefully at the Chalmer’s Regional Hospital on December 11th, 2014 at the age of 48. He was born on July 13th, 1966 son of George and Patsy (Wiley) Spencer. Ralph was a truck/heavy equipment mechanic for over 10 years, working in NWT and Nunavut for the last three years. He loved the north and the people. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all he loved his son, Douglas. Ralph will be sadly missed by his wife, Cheryl (Celera); Mother, Patsy; Father, George; son, Douglas John Spencer; brothers, Jason and Ronald; two nephews, Michael and Ernie Spencer; great nephew, Dominick Spencer. Predeceased by his brother, Douglas, Grandparents, Ralph (Frances) Wiley, Isaac (Maude) Spencer.
The funeral service will be held from the Second Chipman United Baptist Church on Monday, December 15th, 2014 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gerald Burke officiating. Family will receive comfort at the Chipman Funeral Home Ltd. & Crematorium (339-6612) on Saturday evening from 6 to 8 pm and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Interment will be made in the Second Chipman United Baptist Church Cemetery. Donations to the “Douglas John Spencer” Trust Fund would be appreciated by the family.
