It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Alex MacDonald, on Dec 16, 2014 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
He was the son of the late Charles and Johanna (MacMullen) MacDonald of Brown Street, Sydney.
He is survived by his wife, Faye (Steele); only son, Craig (Tammy) MacDonald; sisters, Eliza (Stanley) Powell, Delia (Tommy) Hastie and Colleen (Keith) Pierrynowski and brothers, Teddy MacDonald and Darryl MacMullen (Darryn Smith). He is also survived by his precious grandchildren, Kayla, Brandon and Hailey.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, Dec. 19, 2014 at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Sydney River, at 11 a.m with Fr. Duaine Devereaux officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Alex can be made to the Palliative Care Unit.
