Passed peacefully at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Tuesday, December 16, 2014, of Kae Jenkins-Smith formerly of Stratford, age 67 years. Kae is survived by her husband Barry Smith, children - Laurie Turner (Derly Peters), Deborah Jackson, grandson - Tyler Turner, and numerous foster children. She will also be remembered by her sisters - Carol (Allen) MacLean of Summerside, Gail (Gerry) Hopkirk of Charlottetown, Barbara (Brian) Prowse of New Glasgow, Franci (Dale) Cannon of Summerside, Janie (Vance) Emman of Summerside and brothers - David (Danielle Lavertue) Jenkins of Gatineau, Quebec, Stephen (Brenda) Jenkins of Auburn, Alabama; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Grace (nee Poole) Jenkins. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, where family will receive friends and acquaintances Friday, Dec. 19, from 6-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford Chapel at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at the Hazelbrook Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to Pat and the Elephant or the Canadian Diabetes Society would be appreciated.
