Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Villa in Dundas, on Monday, December 22, 2014 at the age of 82.
Joseph MacPherson, beloved husband of Lorraine (nee Roberts). Dear father of Carol Caverley (Clayton), David (Maureen), Paul (Sue), John, and Susan Fournier (Francois). Cherished “Papa Joe” of Alyssa, Matthew, Dana, Tara, Julia, Meghan, Lauren, Sean, Kyle, Kristen, Zacharie, Dylan and Lily. Joe is survived by his sisters, Sister Sara MacPherson, and Magdalene MacDonald, and his twin brother George (Noreen). Predeceased by his father and mother as well as two brothers, John and Donald. He will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joe took great pride in his grandchildren and made a point of being active in their lives.
He was a long time and devoted member of the Knights of Columbus having served as Grand Knight of Council 5073 Burlington and Faithful Navigator of Assembly 3176 Burlington.
Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church, 2261 Parkway Drive, Burlington on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 11 am.
