ROGERS, THELMA M. - 1937 - 2014 - Miramichi – Thelma Margaret Rogers, wife of Eldon W. Rogers, of Tyrell’s Point Road, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Monday, December 29, 2014, at the age of 78. Born in Forest Hill, Albert Co., on February 15, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Ernest A. and Ada P. (Harrison) Harrison. She was a homemaker; a professional quilter and member of the Miramichi Quilters Guild; a former leader with the Girl Guides. She is survived by her husband, Eldon; two sons, Ernest Rogers (June) and Christopher Rogers (Lorna), all of Fredericton; two sisters, Greta Harrison, of Albert Co. and Muriel Humphrey, of N.B. She was predeceased by one sister, Lena Chown; four brothers, Arnold, Von, Ennis and Frank Harrison.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at 11 am, conducted by Rev. Colin Holmes. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Miramichi, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors’ choice would be appreciated by the family.
