GOODIN, JULES C. – It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Jules “Goodie” Carney Goodin of Saint John, NB, which occurred on January 8, 2015 at the Carleton Kirk Nursing Home. He was born in Saint John and was a son of the late John and Frances (Conwell) Goodin. “Goodie” was employed as a laborer doing construction. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and when he moved to West Saint John he attended Our Lady of the Assumption and Carleton-Kirk United Church. “Goodie” was a member of Local 900 Laborers Union. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing and walking. He is survived by four sons, Michael, John, Mark all of Saint John and Bruce of Vancouver; one daughter, Kimberley Levy (Shannon) of Saint John; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers and sisters.
There will be no funeral home visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at 12:10 pm. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John, NB, (634-1965).
