GRIGG, Norma Edith, 82, Jordan Bay, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Tuesday, January 13, 2015. Born in Boston, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Lily (Corbett) Davis. Norma loved frog figurines and was nicknamed “Nanny Frog” by her grandchildren. She was well known for her crocheting and she loved to sew. She was an avid gardener and loved bird watching. Norma never missed a Wednesday night Lions radio bingo. She was a Legion member for 40 years and a Lions member for twenty plus years. She loved to help others. Norma is survived by her husband, Richard Grigg; daughter, Susan (Daryl) Hemeon, Ohio; sons, Ron (Jocelyne) Bower, Ken (Carol) Bower and Tim (Jean) Bower, all of Ontario; brother, Stan (Regina) Davis, Welshtown; sister, Lillian (Eric) Caudle, Lockeport; grandchildren, Paula, Cathy, Shelley, Vicky, Richard, Leon, Bridget, Elyshia, Ryan, Meagan, Lauren, Mathew and Devon, as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by sons-in-law, George Nickerson and Keith Hillyard. She was predeceased by daughters, Linda Nickerson and Cindy Hillyard. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2:00 p.m. in H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne with Pastor Wayne Dooks officiating. Burial in Buchanan Cemetery, Sandy Point. Memorial donations may be made to the Lockeport Lions Club or V.O.N. Home Support and Nursing. A reception will be held in the Sandy Point Lighthouse Community Center following the service.
