WILLIAMS, Leona Rose, 94, Surf Lodge Nursing Home, Lockeport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2015 in Roseway Hospital. Born in Shag Harbour, she was a daughter of the late Coleman and Grace (Nickerson) Lloyd. Leona was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the kindest, most caring, outspoken and witty individual you would want to meet. She enjoyed gardening and outdoor activities. She was devoted to her church and her family. Leona was especially devoted to her grandson, Craig, who was the apple of her eye. She visited her late husband’s grave on a regular basis. Leona is survived by sons, Floyd; James (Rhoda); brother, Elmer Lloyd; sister, Wynora Roy; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Herman; brothers, Keith, Leonard, Garnet, Frankie and Lawrence; sisters, Kathleen and Donna. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 29 at in Harbour Light Pentecostal Church, East Green Harbour with Pastor Rod Bezanson officiating.
