Born in Tignish on July 22, 1915, daughter of the late Moses and Mary Anne (Arsenault) Perry. Loving mother to Jean (Joseph) Shea, Fortune Cove; Rose (Keir) MacDonald, O'Leary; Joseph (Barbara) Gaudet, Tignish; Angela (Dennis) Gaudet, Tignish. Dear mother-in-law to Austin (Melvina) McLellan, Summerside, and Rose Marie Gaudet, St. Catharines, Ontario. Dear ‘Meme’ to 32 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren and 2 sixth generation great-great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by husband Ferdinand; daughters Marie Griffin Murphy, Irma Skerry and Gloria McLellan; son Carl Gaudet; sons-in-law Wilfred Griffin, Richard Murphy and Malcolm Skerry; granddaughter Jessica Gaudet. Also predeceased by siblings Peter, Isabelle, Joseph, Edmond, Loretta, Mary Ellen, Henrietta, Bernadette (in infancy), Sylvere, Raymond, Cecilia and Bernadette. Resting at Rooney’s Funeral Home, Alberton, with visiting hours on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral on Monday at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish, at 2 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Tignish Seniors Home, Tignish Medical Centre, St. Simon & St. Jude Cemetery Fund or the Western Hospital would be greatly appreciated. Tignish St. Felix CWL will hold prayers Sunday evening at 6:45.
