RICHARD, LORENZO "BAKER"
Lorenzo "Baker" Richard of Memramcook passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Center on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the age of 72.
Born on June 30, 1942 in Rogersville, he was the son of the late Ernest Richard and Anna Maillet. He moved to Memmramcook at the age of 16 and started making bread at the College Saint Joseph. After the college closed, he continued the tradition by opening Pain du College Bakery in Memramcook (1966) which he owned and operated for over 40 years and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus of Memramcook East.
Beside his mother Anna, he will be sadly missed his wife Diana; two daughters, Monique (Gilles) Richard and Jolène Richard both of Memramcook; one son, Serge Richard of Dieppe; one granddaughter, Emma; 11 brothers and sisters, Jean (Dawna), Simonne (late Robert), Edmond (Debbie), Roger (late Mary), Flore (Fernand), Augustin (Beverly), Sara (Bruce), Diane (Louis), Noëlla (Léo), Lucie (Ronald) and Daniel (Christine) and by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father Ernest and one brother Rhéal.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Sunday, February 8 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Monday February 9 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral mass will be held at the Saint Thomas de Memramcook church in St-Joseph on Monday, February 9 at 11:00 am.
