RITCHIE (BARRON), EILEEN ELEANOR
1929 - 2015
Eileen went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on February 8, 2015. Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Ila Barron. Eileen was also the beloved wife of the late Olin Ritchie of Oromocto, NB.
Eileen is survived by her son John Ritchie; daughters Anne Ritchie and Deborah Ritchie all of Oromocto, NB; brother Allen (Mary) Barron of New Glasgow, NS; sisters Elizabeth (Jack) MacDonald of Mississauga, ON, Wanda (Edmund) Dodds of Saint John, NB, Judy (Paul) Browne of Stouffville, ON and June (James) Senechal of Pembroke, ON. Eileen will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Eileen was predeceased by her son Michael Ritchie of Oromocto, NB.
Eileen was devoted to her family and church family. She graduated from teachers college in 1947 and was a lifetime member of the Women’s Missionary Society. Eileen was business partners with her husband and three children until her retirement, and was a devoted member of the Oromocto Baptist Church. She was a loving wife and mother who will be missed by many.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Oromocto Baptist Church from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Oromocto Baptist Church on February 13, 2015 at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow. The Rev. Dr. Perry Hanley will be officiating. Interment will be held in the spring.
