Bill passed away suddenly but peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at the St. John's Long Term Care Facility on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the age of 87. He is predeceased by his parents Cyril Sr. and Beatrice (Eddy), brothers Cyril Jr., James, Bernard, Cecil, Douglas and sister Mary and close friend John Kelly (Shirley). Bill leaves behind with cherished memories his sister-in-law Hazel (Cyril Jr.) nieces and nephews with whom he resided with for 48 yrs., Doug (Denise, Dawn, Lindsay and families), Tony (Lorrie, Ethan and Emma Grace as well as Michael ,Emilie, Elliott and Vivienne), Michelle (Derek Sr. and Derek Jr.), Janine (Kerry, Brad, Jennifer, Matt, Josh and Alex) and Barbara. Bill's brother Kevin (Veronica, Karen, Paul and family), sisters Dot Ryan (Mike and family), Marg Murphy and family, Elsie Warren and family. Bill also leaves behind his great-nephew, Judy and Thomas Richards and family (Tenn. USA) and Paul Holwell as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. A special thank you to all the staff of the St. John's Long Term Care facility 3rd Floor West for all their care, compassion and respect over the last two years especially during Bill's final hours. To his nieces and nephews with whom he shared his life, Uncle Bill was more than just an uncle he was at times another father, a big brother, a nanny and always a friend. He was truly loved and will be forever missed. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Friday from 11 am - 9 pm. and Saturday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 2 pm from St. Patrick's Church. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations to the Children's Wish Foundation.
