The death occurred at The Mount Continuing Care Facility, Charlottetown, on Thursday, February 12, 2015, of James “Edward” Dalton, (pharmacist) of Summerside and formerly of Ottawa, ON, aged 80 years. Born in Summerside, he was the son of the late James “J.E.” and Helen (Holland) Dalton. Survived by his brothers and sisters Gerard (Sonia), Barbara Anne Cronin, Helen MacDonald, Greg (Sharon), George (Estelle); and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Michael and Dr. Ormond Dalton; sisters Andrea Holland, Elizabeth Leger, Florence Gaudet, Mary Dalton, Ruth Murphy and Carolyn Dalton; brothers-in-law Matt Murphy, Edward Holland, Louie Leger, Les Gaudet and Paul Cronin. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Wednesday, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. Memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation, St. Vincent de Paul Society, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
