BOUDREAU (DOUCETTE), Susan Marie – age 95, formerly of Wedgeport, passed away at Nakile Home for Special Care on Monday, February 16, 2015. Born April 6, 1919, she was a daughter of the late, John and Madeline (Cottreau) Doucette. Mom was a cook for her brothers on the Tusket Islands that fished lobsters. She was a long time worker at A.L.Leblanc fish plant in Wedgeport and a homemaker for the rest of her life. She spent many years creating beautiful quilts for her family. She greatly enjoyed playing bingo, camping and solving word search. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Susan is survived by her son, Tony; daughters, Madeline (Wilfred) Corporon, Marilyn (Daniel) LeBlanc, Patsy (Wayne) Boudreau, Arlene (Edgar) Pothier all from Wedgeport; Annette Clarke (NL); Tena (Wayne) Hurlburt, Pleasant Valley; Claire (Terry) Robertson, Raynardton; 8 granddaughters; 3 grandsons; 8 great-grandsons; 1 great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband, Freddie; son, John; infant daughter, Marie; son-in-law, Bruce; as well as brothers, Oliver, Edwin, Willie and Wallace; sister, Evelyn. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home Wedgeport where visitation was held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 8 p.m. in Wedgeport. A funeral mass was held at 11 a.m. Saturday from Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, Wedgeport, Father Albeni d’Entremont officiated. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Nakile Home for Special Care or a Charity of ones Choice.
