The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 of Betty Margaret Acorn, of Charlottetown, age 92 years.
Beloved wife of the late Keith "Chebbie" Acorn. Loving mother of Alan (Glenys), Marilyn (Merrill) Stretch, Libby Grant and Janice (Birt) MacKinnon. Grammy to Jeff (Sarah) and Michael (fiancé Zoe Alexandra) Acorn, Adam and Andrew (fiancé Marion Plompen) Stretch, Alan (Kristin) and Laura (fiancé Rayan Abdallah) Grant, Alex and Sarah MacKinnon and great-grandmother of Jack and Ellie Acorn and Kate Grant.
Betty was the daughter of the late William and Anne (Duffy). Survived by sister-in-law, Mary Acorn, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brothers, Bill and Jack, of Owen Sound, ON; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frank "Duck" (Tilley) Acorn, Margaret (Sterns) Webster, Ada (John) Warren, Kay (Clark) Innis, Mary (Lloyd) Archer, George Acorn, Muriel (Bob) MacDonald, Mildred (Ronald) Arnold, Betty (Gerald) Doyle, Jack Acorn and Bill Acorn.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. A memorial service will be held at St. Peter's Cathedral on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 10 a.m. Interment in Sherwood Cemetery. No visitation by personal request.
