Passed peacefully away the L. A. Miller Centre on Friday, February 20, 2015, at the age of 86. Irene Purcell; predeceased by her parents William and Norah Maher (nee Rudd). Irene leaves to mourn her loving husband of 53 years, Eric; nephews Willy of St. John's; Michael of Toronto; her loving grandnieces and grandnephews as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to nieces Cathy Anderson and Debbie Kavanagh for their kind care and attention. A word of thanks also goes to the staff at the L. A. Miller Centre who took such good care of Irene during her time there. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home on LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Sunday from 2-9 pm. Funeral Mass will take place at 9:30 am from St. Patrick's Church on Monday, February 23, 2015 with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in Irene's name to the St. Patrick's Building Fund.
