The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton on March 1, 2015, of Noreen M. Clohossey of Nail Pond in her 100th year. Wife of the late Roy Clohossey. She was born in Elmsdale on May 20, 1915, the daughter of the late Anselm and Clothilda (Ready) O’Brien. She is survived by her children Lawreen (Leo) Handrahan, Christopher Cross; Willard (Marlene) Clohossey, Trenton, Ont.; Pat Clohossey, Scarborough; Colleen (Gary) Arsenault, New Haven; Nora (Steve) Belliveau, Halifax and Barry (Darlene) Clohossey, Nail Pond. Loving grandmother to John, Ian, Raeanne Kinch, Neil, Kearon and Dane Handrahan; Gwen, Robert, Sandra Reilly, Danielle Provenzano and Kurt Arsenault; Colin, Noralee Johnson, Sheldon, Scott, Karen Adams and Jane Clohossey; 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Dear sister to Angela Shea and Marion Bulger. She was predeceased by parents Anselm and Clothilda, husband Roy, son Desmond, grandson Shawn, brothers and sisters Alton (Jean), Rev. Fr. Willard, Beatrice, Ralph (Helen), Lois (Edgar), Marion (Wilfred), Ivan (Matilda), Horace (Hilda), Mary (Ben). Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Rd., Palmer Road, for visiting hours Monday 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral will be held Tuesday, March 3, at St Simon & St Jude Church, Tignish, at 2:30 p.m. Celebrant Rev. Brendon Gallant. In lieu of flowers donations to the St. Simon & St. Jude Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated. NO SCENTS PLEASE. Interment will take place at a later date in the church cemetery. Tignish and St Felix CWL will hold a prayer service Monday evening at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
