After a brief illness, and surrounded by his loving family, we announce the passing of John A.F. Crichton, cherished and loving husband to Eileen Frances (Yarn) for 50 years. Loving father to John David George and his wife Amy in Seattle and Stephen Trevor Douglas in Vancouver. Devoted Granddaddy to Emma and Reed. Brother of Andrew G. Crichton and his wife Sue in St. John's, Nfld., stepsister, Robin Godfrey in Toronto. Special brother-in-law to Ruth BonEske, Lloyd Yarn and Marjorie Rodgers. There are many cousins, nieces and nephews in St. John's, England and Scotland who will miss him. John was a retired banker with the CIBC. He was a loving and much loved man who brought joy and a smile to everyone who knew or met him. Gardening was his passion, especially roses. One of his missions was to make the Henry Farms Neighborhood the best place to live. Rugby, golf, curling and trips with his family brought him immense joy. Coco and Pebbles, his two West Highland White Terriers, gave him laughter and exercise. Private cremation has taken place. A family service and reception will be held at a later date. No flowers by request.
