It is with great sadness that the family of the late Matthew Slaney of Creston South announces his sudden passing on Saturday, February 21st, 2015, at the age of 31. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his parents, Nora and Dan Slaney of Creston; girlfriend, Cynthia Inkpen of Creston; brothers, Andrew Slaney (Janice Molloy) of Creston and Nicholas Slaney (Charlotte Cheeseman) of Creston; sister, Megan Slaney of Edmonton, AB; nephew, D'Arcy Drake of Marystown; grandmother, Mary Slaney of Marystown; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Matthew was predeceased by his grandparents, Harry and Elizabeth Downs; grandfather, Sylvester Slaney. The Mass of Christian Burial took place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Thursday, February 26th, at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown.
