It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of John Robert Wall of Victoria Road, Sydney at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney surrounded by his family.
He was the son of Albert 'Pat' and the late Geraldine 'Gerry' (Burt) Wall.
John is survived by his son, John Ryan (Krista), his daughter, Ashley (Chris), their mother, Linda (Hall) Wall and his companion of 10 years, Anne MacLeod.
Also left to mourn are his father, Albert 'Pat' Wall and stepmother, Joan; his brothers and sisters, Betty MacIsaac (Vic), Larry (Val) Wall, Roddy (Marilyn) Wall, Joe Wall, Patricia (Glenn) Fewer, Jim (Bev) Wall, Stella Goode (Shawn), Mary (John) McDade; his stepbrothers, Shaun (Trish) Young, Paul (Colleen) Young and Faron Young; his two grandchildren, Bria and Shaun Charles as well as many nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased by his mother, Geraldine, brother-in-law, Sander and sister Sharon in infancy.
John was a proud father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend who was always willing to help his fellow man. He was an exceptional carpenter and enjoyed fishing, darts, music and entertaining at his kitchen table. He was loved and will be missed by all. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Friday, March 6, 2015, from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, March 7, 2015, from 12-2 p.m. at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. A Celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
Burial to take place at a later date in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
