Passed peacefully away at home after a three-year battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. Richard Smith, aged 31 years was predeceased by his grandparents Garfield and Elizabeth Smith and grandfather Gordon Dunphy. Richard leaves behind with fond and loving memories, his children Tyson and Sadie along with their mother Mallory; his mother Velma Smith (Brian Stapleton); father Rick Smith; sisters Tracy (Marcel) Roul, Lindsay Stapleton, Kimberley Smith and Katie Smith and his brothers Kevin Smith and Kristopher Smith. Richard also leaves behind his niece and nephew, Mirah and Jonas Roul as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Cremation has taken place. Visitation on Sunday from 11 am - 9 pm. Funeral Mass will take place at 9:30 am on Monday, March 16, 2015 from St. Teresa's Church. As an expression of sympathy, a donation in Richard's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice or arrangements of yellow flowers would be gratefully accepted as yellow was Richard's favourite colour.
