Philip (Pip) Rudkin, born February 28, 1953 in England and a long-time resident of St. John's, passed away March 14th, pre-deceased by parents May (Keens) and Frederick, leaving behind his partner and kindred spirit Leah, his son Aaron (Tracey) and daughter Emily, step-daughter Casey, mother of his children Pamela, and his sisters Brenda Horner, Hilary Rugless, and Judith Collett. Pip's passing ends his life-long connection to the ocean which spanned the Tropics to the Arctic for both work and recreation. He now sets sail on his last journey and is at peace with the wind at his back. He will always be in our hearts and minds. We would like to extend our thanks to those who stood by us during his illness. Pip was humbled by the support he received. Our heartfelt thanks go to the staff of the Health Sciences Centre, the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, Dr. Laing, Dr. Stuckless, and their dedicated colleagues. We will be eternally grateful. A celebration of Pip's life will be held at Swilers Rugby Club (Crosby Road) on Wednesday, March 18th, from 4PM onwards, all are invited.
