ROACH, Hilda Rachael – 90 years, Villa St. Joseph-du-Lac, Dayton, formerly of Pleasant Street, Yarmouth, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in the Villa. Born March 9, 1925 in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Horrace and Mary Ellen (McLeod) Jensen. Hilda was a homemaker. She is survived by her loving husband, Cecil Roach, as well as by a son, Michael Roach; daughters, Paulette McBride, Ann (Jim) Gottfried, Diana Nickerson, Susan (Jim) Muise, Kathy (George) Cameron, Charmaine Roach, Debbie (Larry) Nickerson, as well as 12 grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Ray Jensen. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by a son, David Roach; sisters, Stella and Mary; a brother, Earl. Visitation took place from 7-9 Thursday, with prayers at 8 p.m. at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 20 from Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Yarmouth, Father Brian MacMillan officiated.
