Charlotte Maria (Rideout) Budge

We, the children of Charlotte Budge, would like to announce her passing on March 17, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Sarah (Murphy) Rideout of Ingonish.
She is survived by her children, Jackie, Travis, Innis (Helen), Rhadie (Munroe), Colleen (Russ), Bunny (Donald), Rychie (at home), Angela (Mel) and our dear, longtime family friend, Margaret MacEachern of Boularderie. She is survived by her sister, our darling Aunt Ida of Ingonish and son-in-law, Clyburn. She is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Richard 'Dick' Budge in 1949, and her longtime companion Douglas MacPherson of Dingwall in 2013. She was also predeceased by her daughter Marguerite in 2003, as well as brothers, George, Tom and Sanford; sisters, Nell, Alma and Elsie; and daughters-in-law Catherine and Vivian.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation as requested by our mother. Funeral service will be at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home, 10 Clyde Ave., Sydney Mines.
In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe made to Saint Andrews Memorial Fund.
Special thanks to our "care girl workers" who were so good to mom, doctors Buffet and Murray, the nurses who visited on a regular basis, palliative-care nurse Wanda Barron. Special thanks to Rosemary Algar and Shelia Fricker as well. Last but certainly not least, the family's dear friends, Joan and Bruce Hatcher. To each and everyone, we will be forever grateful. Rest in peace Mom. Love from your children.
