The death occurred at Perrin's Clinton View Lodge, Clinton, on Thursday, March 19, 2015, of Helen Deborah Cairns, formerly of Summerside, in her 99th year. Born in New Annan, she was the daughter of the late David L. "Teen" and Margaret (Ferguson) Walker. Survived by her children E. Jean (Robert) Miller, Dartmouth, NS; D. Benjamin (Lorna) Cairns, Summerside; Margaret (Leonard) MacDonald, Grand River; daughter-in-law Nancy Cairns, Stanley Bridge; by grandchildren Tom (Terrie) Miller, Dale Miller, Roy (Anne) Cairns, Heather (Mike) Gallant, Jennifer Cairns, Michael (Anne) Cairns, Julia (Dennis) Brown, David (Alisa) MacDonald and Elizabeth (Wally) Costello; great-grandchildren Derek Miller, Craig Miller, Ben Cairns, Christopher Cairns, Mikala (Robert) Snively, Hannah Gallant, Patrick Cairns, Will Cairns, Elwyn MacDonald and Tristam MacDonald; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Bradford "Brad" Cairns; son Harold; great-grandson Andrew MacDonald; a sister Ruthie Walker; brother Roy (Adelaide "Addie") Walker and a brother in infancy; sisters-in-law Helen (Irving) Clark, Georgie (Scott) Cairns, Louise (Albert) Moase, Kathleen Cairns; brother-in-law Wyman (Marjorie) Cairns; and by several nieces and nephews. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Interment later in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Monday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to North Bedeque United Church or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
