1916 – 2015
Alyre Bourgeois, 98 of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent on Tuesday March 24, 2015. He was married to the late Edmée (Jaillet) Bourgeois (2000). Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Vital and the late Suzanne (Cormier) Bourgeois.
Alyre was a carpenter by trade.
He will be sadly missed by his five children; Andrea LeBlanc (Late Raoul) of Renaud’s Mill, Raymonde Roy of Bolton, Mass, Rose-Mai Girouard (Late Emerie) of Bouctouche, Laurie (Elva) and Yvon (Claudette) both of Moncton, nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren as well as several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by four sisters; Leah, Amanda, Olive, Delphina and two brothers Alderic and Thaddée.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche, on Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Friday from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Alyre’s memory donations may be made to the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital Foundation, Sainte-Anne de Kent.
