SAULNIER, David Mandé – 64, Yarmouth, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in Yarmouth. Born January 14, 1951 in Abram’s River, he was a son of Marie (LeBlanc) Saulnier and the late Maximin “Mack” Saulnier. He was a retired sheet metal worker, having worked most of his career with W. B. Bailey’s/Germain’s Mechanical & Electrical in Yarmouth. Although challenged by many medical issues over the last decade, David enjoyed hunting, woodworking, and taking walks and he will be remembered as being very helpful around the neighbourhood. Aside from his mother, Marie Saulnier, Nakile Home for Special Care, David is survived by his partner of 20 years, Anne Foley, as well as by a sister, Phyllis (Ted) Cottreau, Wedgeport and brothers, Victor (Simone) Saulnier and Austin (Diane) Saulnier, both of Abram’s River; Brian Saulnier, Yarmouth; a sister-in-law, Miriam Saulnier, Surette’s Island, as well as by several nieces and nephews, and God child, Jason. Aside from his father, Mack, he was predeceased by brothers, Paul in infancy and Roy Saulnier. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 Friday with prayers at 8 p.m., both at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. The funeral mass was held Saturday, March 28 at 11:00 a.m., from Saint Anne’s Catholic Church, Sainte Anne-du-Ruisseau, Father Albeni d’Entremont officiated. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery at a later date. It was requested that there be family flowers only.
