I would like to announce the passing of my beloved Mom Marie Frances Somerton on April 1, 2015 at the United Mennonite Home in Vineland. Beloved wife of the late Robert Joseph Somerton. Dear mother of Diane and her husband Edward Kennedy. Dear sister of Gerald Kerrivan and his wife Mary. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Thomas, Ellen Clarke, Veronica, Margaret Tobin, Ann (Nance) Windsor, Edward, Thomas, James, Patrick, John, Ronald, Jerome, Frances and Kevin. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. There are no words to describe the gratitude and thank you seems not enough for the staff and volunteers who took care of my Mom in her golden years at the United Mennonite Home, Vineland. I would like to extend a thank you as well to Monique, Retire-at-Home for being there no matter when or where. A heartfelt thanks to Dion at the Alzheimers Society and Kim at CCAC for their support and care. Thank you to all of our family and friends for their loving support during this difficult time. Mrs. Somerton is at the Butler Funeral Home, 424 Niagara St., St. Catharines Ontario where the family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Alfred's Church on Monday April 6, 2015 at 11 a.m. The Rite of Commital will take place at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Alzheimers Society, Plan Canada, Tender Wishes or the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
