THEALL, LEAH
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Leah Patricia Theall (Melanson) on April 4, 2015 at Saint John Regional Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Glendon Theall and loving mother of son Dylan. Born on March 3, 1982 to her parents Kim (O’Brien) and Jack Melanson.
In addition to her husband, son and parents she is also survived by her sisters, Stephanie Melanson (Adam); Kristen Melanson (Richard); brother, Gregory Melanson; grandmother, Lorna O’Brien; father and mother in-law, Glen and Paula Theall; brother-in-law, Josh Theall (Tara); sister-in-law, Paige Theall; nieces, Alexa, Brooklyn and Makenzie; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by grandfathers, James O’Brien and Albert Melanson; and grandmother, Rosalie Melanson.
Leah graduated from UNBSJ with a Bachelor of nursing degree. She was employed with the Saint John Regional Hospital in the neurology department, where she was well respected and loved by her peers and patients. Leah was an adventurous and free spirited young woman who loved to travel and enjoyed many outdoor activities with her family and friends. She was married to the love of her life, and her greatest joy was her cherished son Dylan who was her guiding light as she battled cancer. She was a very special sister and loving aunt. Leah will be deeply missed by everyone and cherished in our hearts forever.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) with visiting on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 4 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Peter’s Church, 50 Clarendon Street, on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
