The death occurred peacefully with her loving family at her side, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, of Mary "Catherine" Gallant, of Summerside. Born in Richmond, she was the daughter of the late Rita MacDougall. Survived by her children Rita, Norman, Susan (Bill), Paul (Rose), Sandra (Lonnie), Valerie, Robert, Scott (Patricia), David and Holly; grandchildren Cathy, Bonnie, Angela, Jennifer, Bliss, Molly, Darcy, Alexandra and Hilary; great-grandchildren Cole, Brittany, Joshua and Oliver; great-great-grandchildren Sophia and Emma. Predeceased by her husband Norman Gallant; son Kenneth Gallant; son-in-law John Hutchinson; and special friend Clarence Cole. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside. No visiting hours or funeral service by personal request. Interment will be later in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Arthritis Society would be appreciated.
