Chesley Gordon Butler passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16,2015 surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years, Carmel, and his seven children, Catherine (Fay), Colleen, Cindy (Reg) Binns, Cheryl (Mark) Berkeley, Donnie (Cheryl), Brenda, Shane (Tanya); 11 grandchildren, Anthony, Casandra, Cory, Darren, Christopher, Andrew, Abigail, Courtney, Ethan, Jack, Jessica, and three great grandchildren, Logan, Brina, Izabella. He is also survived by brother Donnie (Brenda), sisters, Karen (Gerry) Pino, and Harriet Butler as well as many friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by grandson, Dean Shane Binns.
Chesley worked his whole life at Sydney City Hospital and dedicated his entire life to his children and enjoying his long rides around the island with mom. His love for the outdoors and fishing was instilled in his children and grandchildren and he always had advice about the best fishing spots.
Celebration of Ches's life will be held at a later date.
