It is with heartfelt sadness that we the family announce the passing of Fabian 'Homer' MacDonald on April 21,2015, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with loving family at his side.
Born in Glace Bay he was the son of the late Henry MacDonald and Catherine Martin.
Homer was employed for many years as a miner with Devco.
He was a member of Warden United Church and a life long sportsman with the love for baseball, hockey, bowling and playing pool.
Surviving are daughter Lisa; son Derek; granddaughter Tatiana; sisters Sharon (Teddy) Conors, Viola (David) Strong, Diane (Toni) Colucci, Georgian; brothers Henry (Renate) Arnold.
Visitation for the late Fabian 'Homer' MacDonald will be held on Sunday April 26, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in Patten Funeral Home 71 Union St., Glace Bay. Funeral service will be held on Monday April 27, 2 p.m. at Warden United Church Glace Bay. Interment will take place at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery.
