FARRAR, LLOYD
1927 -2015

Lloyd was brought up in Kedgwick River and spent most of his life in Tide Head. After an enjoyable career as a bus driver with SMT, he became self-employed in milk delivery and the operation of garages. He also had a canteen on the Tide Head beach. He bought, washed and sold fiddleheads for many years. He was one of the first people to process and sell fiddleheads in bulk. It was his contribution to Tide Head being recognized as the Fiddlehead Capital of the World. Many young people from the Tide Head area worked for Lloyd in his various business endeavours. Before retirement, he was the owner-operator of a bar and campground in Tide Head where he and Ella made many lifelong friends.
One of his favourite pastimes was spending time at his beach. He was always busy improving and adding on to his camp. But most of all he loved watching the children play on the beach, swim in the brook and roast marshmallows on the bonfire. He was blessed to have been able to enjoy three generations of children using the beach.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
