Rodney Owens

OWENS, RODNEY LUKE
Rodney Luke Owens of Lorneville, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully at home on May 13 2015 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Moncton on September 10, 1966, he was the son of Hazel Owens (Gosselin) and the late Charles Owens.
Rodney will be sadly missed by his partner and best friend, Elke Muessle,
his mother, Hazel, and brothers John (Arlene), Jim (Denise) and Charlie
(Christa) as well as his nieces and nephews: Joshua, Cassandra, Julia, Emma, Daniel, Matthew, Lauren and Sophie, and by his many friends and extended family members.
He will be remembered for his strong sense of family, honesty and loyalty. Rodney loved the outdoors, and especially hunting and fishing outings with his brothers. His easy-going personality drew people to him, as did his love of a good laugh and ability to enjoy the small things in life. Rodney remained remarkably positive throughout his ten-year battle with brain cancer.
From an early age, Rodney showed a strong inclination toward machinery of all kinds. Throughout his life, he operated a full range of heavy equipment, including large tree-harvesting equipment and large cranes, and drove transport trailers throughout North America as an owner/operator.
As per Rodney's wishes, an Irish wake and visitation will be held to
celebrate his life Friday May 15 at 7 p.m. at Winegarden Estate (Route 970 Baie Vert E4M 1Z7, near Port Elgin).
Arrangements are in care of Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook
