BLACKMORE, Ada May (nee Norris)– Passed away suddenly at the Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, January 25, 2009, Ada May Blackmore, aged 88 years. Born on Pinchard’s Island, Bonavista Bay on June 28, 1920. Moved to Newtown in 1953 and then on to Mount Pearl in 1977. Predeceased by her husband Gordon, January 20, 1989; parents Albert Norris, August 1969 and Annie Norris (nee Parsons), March 1967; brother-in-law James Blackmore, sister-in-law May Blackmore. Leaving to mourn son Stan (Diane), Mount Pearl; daughter Melba Lannon (Frank), Labrador City; two loving and precious grandchildren Ashley Blackmore, Mount Pearl and Leandra Lannon, Edmonton; special nephew Calvin Blackmore, wife Wanda and sons Chad and Cory; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, January 26; 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., on Tuesday, January 27 and from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday, January 28. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 2 p.m. from Church of the Ascension, Smallwood Drive, Mount Pearl. Interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
