CHASE, MAISIE
Maisie Anna Chase of Chipman passed away peacefully at the Chalmer’s Regional Hospital, with her family by her side on Tuesday, May 26th, 2015 at 88 years. Maisie was born in Upper Gaspereau Forks on January 29th, 1927, daughter of the Late Russell and Matilda (Clarke) Murray.
Maisie is survived by her sister, Ida (Waldo) Fairweather of Cumberland Bay; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her husband, Clayton in 1999; son, Jeffrey in 1956; sister, Muriel Sweeney; brothers, (Infant) Ray Lloyd, Willard Murray and Gordon Murray.
Maisie worked as a cook for over 30 years at numerous lumber camps in the Chipman area and in later years worked for Brown’s Takeout in Chipman. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
The family will receive comfort at the Chipman Funeral Home Ltd. & Crematorium on Thursday, May 28thm 2015 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A celebration of Maisie’s life will be held at the Chipman United Church on Friday, May 29th, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Betty-Jean Officiating. Interment will be made in the Red Bank United Church Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Maisie may be made to the Chipman United Church.
